investing in cyber security tools because of perceived
high costs and lack

 of customer cyber security 


U.S. Air Force researchers are advising
 industry to get ready for a

 potential $49.7 million cyber 

security project to safeguard military avionics 

from computer hackers

 and other cyber warfare 


U.S. military researchers are reaching out to 

software companies

 to find new methods, compiler

 designs, runtime implementations, and virtual machine technologies 

for building long-lived, 

survivable, and scalable adaptive software systems.

 week to buy a majority stake in Websense Inc. in Austin, Texas, 

which specializes in protecting organizations from advanced cyber


U.S. Air Force information technology (IT) experts are doubling 

the number of contractors competing for a decade's worth of IT

 services contracts as part of the Network-Centric Solutions-2 

(NETCENTS-2) Application Services program.
