A proposta é apresentada em meio ao debate sobre a privacidade na internet
nos EUA, que ressurgiu após vários erros nos sistemas de confidencialidade
da web e de redes sociais como o Facebook.
Uma das maiores preocupações da FTC são os programas "invisíveis" que se
instalam automaticamente em computadores com a entrada do usuário em um
site e servem para rastrear suas ações e compartilhá-las entre empresas
. Os dados recopilados servem para projetar gostos, costumes e atitudes de
usuários a uma escala global e tão extensa como é a internet, uma informaçã
o muito valiosa e utilizada por agências de publicidade.
A FTC conclui que as regulações das companhias sobre o tema "falharam
à hora de fornecer uma proteção adequada e significativa" aos consumidores.
A resposta para a agência governamental é "privacidade por definição", um termo
que utiliza para explicar como as companhias deveriam fornecer sistemas que
protejam o usuário por obrigação.
Para isso, propõe uma ferramenta de "não rastreamento" ("Do Not Track")
que as empresas deveriam implementar para que os consumidores escolham
se podem guardar dados como suas buscas e navegação na web. A armazenagem
dessa informação deveria ser permitida apenas quando for necessária e
eliminada de uma maneira regular, segundo o relatório, que foi apresentado
um dia antes de a subcomissão da Câmara de Representantes de Comércio
e Defesa do Consumidor tratar do mesmo assunto em uma audiência.
DESTRUIÇÃO MORTES 45 mortes no ES e em MG
CHUVAS
A atual temporada de chuvas já causou a morte de 45 pessoas no Espírito
Santo e em Minas Gerais, apontam levantamentos divulgados neste sábado,
28. As tempestades que atingem o Espírito Santo desde o dia 19 são
responsáveis por 24 óbitos. Em Minas, são 21 as vítimas de enchentes e
deslizamentos de terra.
No Espírito Santo, de acordo com boletim da Defesa Civil, mais

tratores, barcos e helicópteros, principalmente Itaguaçu
e Baixo Guandu, mas

Em todo o Estado, mais de 60 mil pessoas precisaram
sair de suas casas e
ainda não puderam retornar - 7.396 pessoas foram
acolhidas em abrigos e
52.641 continuam em casas de parentes e amigos. O número
de feridos chegou a 583.
Dos 78 municípios capixabas, 54 foram afetados pelas chuvas.
A Secretaria Nacional
de Defesa Civil cessou os alertas de enxurrada. Entretanto
, foram emitidos alertas
de risco de deslizamento de terra.
Em Minas Gerais, mais duas mortes foram confirmadas em
Virgolândia, no Vale do
Rio Doce, em uma enxurrada ocorrida entre a noite de
quarta-feira, 25, e a
madrugada de quinta-feira, 26, e o outro caso ocorreu em
Buritizeiro, no norte mineiro.
Segundo a Cedec, Allison Pablo da Silva Rocha, de 17 anos,
sofreu um acidente de
moto por causa da queda de várias árvores na BR-365
derrubadas por um
"vendaval" que atingiu a região junto com "chuvas intensas".
A Defesa Civil
também confirmou que os corpos de Emilson Pereira
Lourenço, de 36, e Luiz
Gonçalves de Almeida, de 66, foram resgatados pelo Corpo
de Bombeiros em
Virgolândia, no leste do Estado.
A presidente Dilma Rousseff sobrevoou o município após a
cidade ser atingida
por uma tromba d'água causada pela cheia do Córrego
Palmital na noite de
quarta-feira. A prefeitura do município chegou a informar
que três corpos
haviam sido resgatados e que ao menos sete pessoas estariam
desaparecidas, mas, de acordo com os bombeiros, há confirmação
de que apenas uma vítima da enxurrada ainda não foi encontrada.
Ainda segundo a Cedec, 84 municípios mineiros registraram danos
por causa dos temporais, sendo que 51 estão em situação de
