Win An English Course in San Francisco with Kaplan’s Blogger Competition

Anyone with a blog will have the opportunity to win one of these amazing prizes by entering the contest. All you have to do is write one blog post about your thoughts on Kaplan’s ‘How to learn English’ infographic.

Entries into the competition should be published and submitted between April 18th and May 11th. Make sure that you write your blog post between these dates to ensure that you stand a chance of winning the prizes.
The infographic shows Kaplan’s research into how people learn English from watching television shows and films, playing computer games and listening to songs. There were some interesting results which were then published in an infographic.
It was discovered that Harry Potter was the movie that helped the most people learn English. The majority of people who had help learning English from these movies wanted to study the language in the United Kingdom, probably at Hogwarts!
Kaplan found that Friends was the most popular television programme for helping people to learn English. It was also discovered that people who learned English from watching the hit show based in New York were more likely to want to study the language in America.
Kaplan is offering the competition winner a course in their San Francisco school because the United States of America was the joint most popular destination alongside the United Kingdom for people who wanted to learn English abroad.
Kaplan students decide to learn in San Francisco for many reasons aside from the excellent English school. Some take the chance to take a tour of the former island prison of Alcatraz while others walk or cycle across the famous Golden Gate Bridge.
Furthermore, there are many museums, restaurants and shops to explore at Fisherman’s Wharf and you can also visit the vineyards of Napa Valley. All of these activities make San Francisco an attractive destination for English learners of all ages.
